Nevermore!
"My wife and I have purchased P&G products for years. Specifically, we have always felt that their Cascade product was superior than others on the market! However, after purchasing two 180 oz boxes of the latest Cascade, we found the powder unacceptable in cleaning! It left a powdery residue on most of the dishes and a film on the glasses. After a bad experience with the first box, we purchased a second one thinking we had gotten a bad batch. Well, the second one was just as bad. We then considered that our dishwasher was going out. It was only four years old! We resorted to buying the liquid detergent and it appears that our problem is remedied. I am not sure what P&G has done with the formula but it appears to have changed dramatically in the powder form. I will not buy the powder Cascade 'Nevermore'!!!"

"I will never buy this Cascade again matter of fact I am to the point of throwing this whole box away. My dishes are left with a powder residue every time I use this dish washing powder. I have never had Cascade regular do this."

Change isn't always good
"After using Cascade powder dishwasher detergent with great satisfaction for decades, I am dismayed that Cascade with Extra Bleach Action liquid (Shine Shield Formula; phosphate free) has quickly and permanently etched my glassware. I would never have predicted such an unhappy result from a Cascade product. [Note: With concern for the environment, I always use only half the recommended amount of detergent, don't pre-rinse, and don't add a water softener. The etching can only be from the Cascade.]"

"Used powder, not action pac. Total disaster, I would never use it again. It heavily filmed everything. I rewashed by hand and film returned after items dried.
I finally put everything back into the dishwasher and ran liquid bleach in it.

never seen cascade so bad
"I have been a ture believer in cascade products until this. Cascade with extra bleach action. As I read some of rthe reveiws I see I am not alone. it is watery and has crystalized in the bottle. It is so bad it is unusable. I will never buy tyhis product again."

"I used powder Cascade for years and bought this form of Cascade b/c it was on sale. About half way through using this form of Cascade I realized that it did not clean my dishes nearly as well as the powder form. I could hardly wait to finish this type so i could buy the powder form. I will not buy the gel Cascade again."

Cloudy film
"This product leaves a very visable film on glasses like nothing I have ever seen. Never had this problem with any other product, even the cheap stuff. I can't believe people are not revolting! And since I bought a 155 0z bottle I'm stuck with it for a while! Glasses are getting worse every time they are washed, looks like food and dirt is gone but the film is disgusting!"

"I've been buying Cascade product for twenty years or more and have been very satisfied with everything with the name until this product.
I bought this at Sam's Warehouse-- And on opening found a watery product with an occasional white fleck in it. I shook it up hoping a settling problem but the watery thinned out liquid was all I got.
I have never had any doubt about Cascade products until now. Is it supposed to be like this? I'm disappointed. Now I'm going to need to read the label of any Cascade product I buy so I avoid this one."

"i have always been a big fan of cascade d/w detergent, however the last 2 bottles i bought have been TERRIBLE! the first was so thin and runny it would not stay in the detergent tray in my d/w from day 1. the second bottle was thicker when purchased but has now become so thin it will not stay in the tray. it also has what appears to be little crystals coming out of the bottle. i usually buy the 155 oz bottle and this is quite expensive to have to throw out because it will not stay in the tray. what has happened to your product? in my opinion you should go back to the old product. if i purchase another bottle and it does this way i will not purchase a 4th bottle. i am sure if i am having this problem others probably are also. thanks for your attention to an unfortunate situation with was was really a great product."

"You used to have and EXCELLENT product that really got my dishes clean - especially my teapot and teacup and saucer. It was thick, white and had lemon. Since your new products came out, my teapot etc. are stained and look terrible. I'm going to have to find a new product"

"I have bought this product before but this time it was like water.I shake the bottle every time I use it and still no difference.I usually buy from sams club. Have bought other dish washing soap, cascade complete and such and have been satisfied but this time its a big no for this one."

"This detergent "freezes" (crystalizes) at temperatures around 55* and when "frozen" it is almost impossible to get any detergent out of the bottle. Should be labeled -for warm climates only!"

This separates and doesn't clean.
"This separates into an almost clear liquid part and a part that hardens in the bottle. The results on my dishes has not been good."

last dishwasher soap you will ever buy
"I have tried all brands and even all types of dishwasher soap that has ever been available for purchase. None of them worked. I even went as far as to replace my dishwasher just to get the dishes clean. I am a mother of 4 kids and homeschool all day. I don't have time to stand over a sink and wash my dishes before I wash them in the dishwasher. This dishwasher soap changed that. It seemed like before I had all kinds of residue on my dishes. If I had grease on any of my dishes, after they were in my dishwasher all my dishes would feel greasy like nothing every came clean. Cascade advanced power cleans off everything. Ever since I started using Cascade advanced power (also known as extra bleach action) I haven't had to scrud a single thing off of any of my dishes. I defenitly reccomend this dishwasher soap."

Best Dishwasher Pacs Ever!
"A couple of month ago I bought cheap dishwasher tablets instead of Cascade pacs, I was trying to save a couple bucks-figured they were all the same anyway, boy was I wrong!! The cheap tablets ruined (or so I thought!) all of my dishes, etc.-they left a semi-permanent film over everything. It was so caked on I literally could not scrub it off! I even tried lime and mineral remover spray and I tried soaking them in white vinegar, bleach, ammonia, whatever! I went out and purchased Cascade with Dawn and after two or three washings the Cascade pacs removed ALL the caked on, baked on film! I was shocked and amazed and will never go back to the cheap stuff again!!"

"I purchased this upon the recommendation of Consumer Reports. Initially, I didn't notice anything different, however about 1/2 way thru the bottle, the gel became like water. The entire inside of my dishwasher was coated with a white residue. Some of my grandmother's depression glass looked as if it was dishwasher etched. I tried washing these by hand and they didn't come clean. I was understandably upset. I discontinued using the bleach stuff and bought the regular Cascade Complete. Luckily, this cleared up all the problems the variety with the bleach caused. Won't use that again."

"This was the first time I had purchased this particular Cascade and will not purchase again. The product was very watery and left a terrible film on my dishes. I thought it was my dishwasher until i changed products and my glasses were shiney and clean. I just poured the remainder of the bottle down the drain."
